  Qualified As Instructor

Every qualified driving instructor must display their GREEN BADGE in the bottom left of their car windscreen. To fully qualify as a Driving Instructor in the UK, a series of tests has to be completed. These tests are devised by the Driving Standards Agency. Here is a summary:

Part 1: Theory Test - 100 questions, 85% correct to pass.

Part 2: Test of Driving Ability - 1 hour rigorous driving test, up to 6 minor faults allowed to pass.

Part 3: Test of Instructional Ability - 1 hour role play test with examiner acting as pupil.

All our instructors are fully qualified and approved by the Driving Standards Agency, the same agency responsible for organising and assessing your L Test.

  Pass Rate in 2009

Each DSA test centre has an official average pass rate which is published by the DSA. The average pass rate for Anniesland Test Centre in 2009 was 36.88%. The instructor Pass rate is calculated by taking the amount of pupil passes over the year compared with the total number of pupils taken for test.

  Vetted By Disclosure Scotland

Disclosure Scotland is the organisation used by the government to vet people applying for jobs to work with young/vulnerable people. For each applicant, they search for any criminal convictions, reprimands, warnings, cautions and any other relevant information which may affect their ability to work with young people. To pass vetting with Disclosure Scotland, our instructors must have none of these.
